Salvation Dress - Exclusive VIP Viewing!

April 5, 2016 Caroline Burton

I am excited that the annual New Zealand Creative Fibre festival is being held in my home town this year!

Sooooo....I bought 10m of red silk tissue from The Fabric Store and 600g of superfine merino fibre hand dyed by Kate Mahoney of  Heavenly Wools and got to work.  I called my design a dress called Salvation and I can't wait to see it heading down the catwalk next month.

I did grab the opportunity before I submitted the dress to the festival selectors to organise a quick shoot.  The team spent a beautiful morning in the stunning woodland garden of a good friend of mine - it was the perfect backdrop for Salvation.  The rich, voluptuous red contrasted fabulously with the lush saplings and textural tree trunks.

--EXCLUSIVE OFFER-- (NOW CLOSED! - feel free to view the video at your leisure on my 29 April 2016 Post)
